Medium Silver Grey
ARI# 1394719
DOB: 11/1/2004
Sire: Shaquille
Dam: MFI Wildflower

Quasar is the "Ideal Shaqille Son" out of a true black Silvio daughter. He is the total package -- great bone, with dense, crimpy, bright and FINE, FINE fiber. Quasar divides his time between our farm here in South Carolina (Fall to Early Spring) and with our co-owner, Starling Farms, in Ohio (Late Spring to Early Fall).

Quasar has never walked out of the ring without a ribbon. A Reserve Champion at 10 months old and the youngest in the class of 13, Judge Mike Safley stated that Quasar is "straight, dense and exceptionally fine with a difference of 6 microns from the next finest alpaca in the class. He even has crimp in his topknot."

Quasar took 2nd place at the 2006 Southern Select, again the youngest in his class at 16 months. Judge Amanda VandenBosch stated that Quasar has "great style and a solid frame. His fiber is fine, dense, and has exceptional brightness and luster."

At the 2006 Kentucky Classic, Quasar again took 2nd, standing between 2 Scimitar boys, and was the 2nd youngest in his class. Judge Mike Safley called Quasar the "ideal type -- very soft and fine, with high-frequency crimp along the entire staple." Judge Safley said the LSG yearling male class was the toughest in the entire show.

At the 2006 Carolina Classic, Judge Wade Gease gave Quasar high marks for consistency, fineness, density, handle, and high-frequency crimp, along with strong bone and conformation.

Quasar's sire, Shaquille, sold for $310,000 at the 2005 Breeder's Choice Auction. With the powerhouse genetics of Shaquille, Peruvian Leon, Quicksilver, and Silvio, Quasar will take your breeding program out of this world!
