STARLING FARMS ASTEROID -- Proven Male
Light Fawn
ARI# 1034363
DOB: 2/16/2004
Sire: MFI Peruvian Logan
Dam: Starling
Fee: $1,800

Asteroid has more than earned the right to retire from showing, with a total of nine blue ribbons and three championships under his belt. He will now focus on breeding full-time. Look for his crias to hit the show circuit in Fall 2007.

Asteroid won his eighth blue ribbon at CABO at age 36 months, standing over a 4-time champion Zephyrus son and an Evander son. Judge's comments: "Impressive male, the oldest in this class of eight... the total package...Incredible balance, bone, density and consistency." He took home his ninth blue ribbon and third championship at age 38 months. During his show career, Asteroid has stood over the offspring of huge names such as El Nino, Jericho, Express, Evander and Zephyrus.

Asteroid has amazing density and crimp with superior coverage around his face all the way down through his toes. His 2007 shearing yielded 7.5 pounds of gorgeous "apricot" colored fleece. At over three years old, he is maintaining an incredible 12 crimps per inch.

If you are looking for a colored herdsire that has exceptional density, fineness, uniformity, great bone, perfect bite and conformation, then Asteroid is the guy. Just look at that head! Asteroid knows his job well and settled his first female at the age of 19 months. He is quite efficient and has been getting his job done in one try. More than a dozen cria will arrive this year alone!

Asteroid's offspring are now arriving. Photos are posted on our web site regularly. Check out the head, color, crimp, bundling, and coverage on these cria -- outstanding!
