Meet the 2007 Carolina Alpaca Celebration Color Champion and 2006 AOBA National Fleece Show Reserve Color Champion, MFI Astrovine!

Winning at the 2006 AOBA National Conference Fleece show was extremely difficult as there were many incredible fleeces in each color category; however, MFI Astrovine was up to the task!  His juvenile fleece won First Place and Reserve Color Champion in TOUGH competition!  Astrovine  quickly backed up that banner with the Color Championship at the Carolina Alpaca Celebration in February 2007.  And another Championship at the Green Mountain Show in 2007

Astrovine's sire is MFI Donovan,  of Magical's fawn signature herdsires.  Donovan is son of the famous Accoyo Peruvian Augusto who sold in the 2000 Breeder's Choice Auction to Five Star Alpacas for a world record price of $226,000.

Astrovine's great coloration, and incredible fleece make him a desirable addition to any breeding program.

Asteroid is truly an elite male.  After earning nine blue ribbons and three championships, he has earned the right to retire from the ring and make breeding his full-time career.  His first bumper crop of cria arrived in 2007 and they are outstanding, with super head, color, crimp, bundling and coverage across the board.  His 2007 shearing yielded 7.5 pounds of gorgeous "apricot" colored fleece.  At over three years old, he is maintaining an incredible 12 crimps per inch.

Asteroid won his eighth blue ribbon at CABO at 36 months old.  He took home his ninth blue ribbon and third championship at age 38 months.

This herdsire is the embodiment of well balanced, vigorous genotype and incredible phenotype.

Quasar's offspring are arriving - and they are superb!  His 2007 cria are both females - one light rose grey and one maroon, both with Dad's fabulous fine, crimpy fiber and strong build.  No surprise, as "Ideal Shaquille Son" is out of a true black Silvio daughter.  Quasar has solid bone with dense, crimpy, bright and FINE, FINE fiber.  He has never walked out of the ring without a ribbon.  A Reserve Champion at 10 months old(the youngest in his class of 13), Judge Mike Safley stated that Quasar is "straight, dense and exceptionally fine with a difference of 6 microns from the next finest alpaca in the class.  He even has crimp in his topknot."

Mada Vemi's Amerikhan Legend is a full Peruvian, super dense male with high amplitude, high frequency 17.9 micron fleece!  Judges consistently comment on his extreme density and incredibly fine fleece.  Legend's sire, The Aga Khan, has won 11 championships for his incredible density and Legend's black dam adds in fantastic color genetics.  What's truly exciting is this genetic combination gives Legend the ability to throw black offspring.  His first crias will be hitting the ground in the fall of 2008.

Standing Ovations combines the presence, fiber, and conformation that every breeder looks for in a herdsire.  "Stan" has placed first or second in just about every show (at least TEN that we can count) and has three Reserve Color Championships to his credit.  We just love the way he commands the attention of the judges with his long staple length, crimp from skin to tip, and density.  With the genetics of Accoyo Victor, Guellermo, and 5P Camelot and a bay black dam, we believe he will be a great addition to our herdsire row as we strive to improve the fiber of our dark females.  Any farm looking for genetic diversity with a male who has proven himself over and over again to be one of the best brown males in the country should take a serious look at Standing Ovations.

R.A. Buckskin is an extraordinary male carrying fleece with extremely dense, elite high frequency crimp and amazing super soft handle, but most importantly, he has retained that fleece quality through the years.
If you want to add superior Full Peruvian bloodlines to your herd, you need to take a good look at Buckskin.  He is an outstanding 3/8 Accoyo, 5/8 Alianza herdsire sired by The Portland Kidd.  His lineage includes Peruvian Leon, Peruvian Hemingway and PPPeruvian King.  R.A. Buckskin will be at the show so you can see how spectacular he is for yourself.

Our farm is located just 30 minutes from either the MAPACA show(the end of April) or the PAOBA show (in the middle of May) - perhaps a good opportunity to breed your special female.
